Screen and recoating court floors by Courtsports

The majority of court floors can be restored by a screen and recoat. This process is the most inexpensive way to bring back your floors original shine and most importantly build up a protective layer of finish. Most gym floors can be screened and recoated over a two day period and will be available to play on after 72 hours of dry time.

Your court floors should be screened and recoated every year. A typical gym floor with normal foot traffic will wear through one layer of finish each year. Basketball court keys, racquetball service areas, and aerobic room exercise areas tend to wear much more quickly. In these areas it is normal to wear through two or more layers of finish in a year.

Courtsports offers what is called a "wet screening" method to abrade your existing surfaces. Most flooring contractors abrade your floors dry. Wet screening is DUST FREE and cleans the surface much better. Dry screening generates a large amount of dust on your walls, bleachers, light fixtures, etc. that will need to be cleaned after your project is completed.
